A Spectacular Break From A Dark Criminal Past - Come and hear the true gripping story of guest speaker Michael Emmett. Michael is a former criminal from South London and was one of the world’s biggest drug smugglers during the 80’s and early 90’s. He joined his father’s organised crime business where his father was friends with the Kray Twins, the great train robbers and Freddie Foreman. In November 1993, Michael was sentenced to 12-and-a-half years in prison after being involved in a £13million smuggling operation. Whilst in prison Michael personally befriended gangster Reggie Kray. Michael’s arrest also led to something that has shaped his life since - an encounter with God’s grace which led him to become a reformed person. Michael has since helped created a course that has been introduced into 900 prisons around the world, helping prisoners find a different path in life. He has written a book, called ‘Sins of Fathers’, which details his career and his adoption of faith when he was behind bars.
